Dr. Randy Lowry is one of the nation’s leading experts in the dispute resolution field. He has been featured in a variety of national media outlets including CNN, Bloomberg Businessweek, Huffington Post and Washington Monthly as a conflict management expert.
In 1986, Dr. Lowry founded the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. The Straus Institute has been recognized as the number one dispute resolution program of its kind for most of the past two decades by U.S. News & World Report. Dr. Lowry has served clients in conflict management consulting, systems design and training in more than 40 states and on six continents.
Dr. Lowry also serves as president of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. Under his leadership, Lipscomb has emerged as one of the top universities in the southeast and achieved 86% enrollment growth over the past decade. Dr. Lowry has received numerous accolades for his leadership including being named Nashville’s “Most Admired CEO” by the Nashville Business Journal.
Dr. Lowry received his juris doctorate from Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.
